Internet of Things – a wireless future

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a new dimension of TRONIX’s business and an expression of the company’s openness to the challenges of the future. The Internet has undoubtedly revolutionised our reality, giving practically unlimited possibilities for doing business, promotion and communicating with customers – and not only for people. The Internet of Things is an innovative concept in which selected objects (e.g. household appliances, lighting or smartwatches) can collect, process and exchange data with each other, making them even more useful to their users. Research shows that the coming years will see dynamic growth of wireless networks, and the value of the IoT market will grow at an impressive pace.

Take a step towards Industry 4.0

This innovative technology can also be used successfully on an industrial scale, as more and more companies, also in Poland, are discovering. Communication between individual devices and remote control of machinery make it possible to overcome existing business limitations and take ambitious projects to a higher level. The digital IoT evolution is happening before our eyes in manufacturing, energy, mining, automotive and logistics, allowing the biggest market players to shorten production time, plan more precisely, increase employee productivity and manage processes more effectively.

For TRONIX, IoT is an area of research and development. We focus above all on smart metering – a method of intelligent remote metering and data transmission used mainly in industry in the broad sense. Another example of this modern technology is property management, where readings of the energy consumed in individual apartments are sent to the building manager. An IoT solution can successfully replace the dominant Wireless M-BUS data transmission standard, significantly extending its functionality.
