Project title

Development of a complete technology for building networks of physical objects that communicate wirelessly in mesh mode using the IP protocol at the network layer, in line with the Internet of Things (IoT) concept, for use in industrial environments.

Project summary

The subject of the project is R&D work aimed at developing a technology for building networks of physical objects that communicate wirelessly in mesh mode using the IP protocol at the network layer, in line with the Internet of Things (IoT) concept, intended for use in industrial environments.

The project consists of seven substantive tasks grouped into two phases: industrial research in tasks 1–5 and experimental development in tasks 6–7. These tasks are covered by state aid.

The remaining tasks are activities supporting the implementation of the project, covered by de minimis aid: indirect costs related to the substantive R&D part of the project, project promotion and preparatory work.

The project (excluding preparatory work) will last 21 months. It will result in a technology ready for commercialisation, with its operation confirmed by prototypes and a demonstration version.

The product-level objective of the project will be achieved by carrying out the individual tasks and activities set out in the schedule, using the Applicant’s human resources and technical and material resources acquired by purchase.

In the future, the Applicant plans to commercialise the R&D results by implementing the product innovation in its own business and launching new network-building services based on the IoT concept, as well as by licensing the technology to other companies for use in their business, in order to popularise the solution more quickly.
